Justin is a native and lifelong resident of Appling County, having graduated from Appling County High School in 1999. He is married to the former Jessica Kersey and has one daughter, Kerstyn.

​Justin has grown up in the funeral industry have received is Funeral Service Education from Ogeechee Technical College in Statesboro. He has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer since 2003 and a life insurance agent since 2008.

​Justin also serves as pastor of Riverside Baptist Church.
